Welcome to Budget Sense, an independently developed service operated by Dimitar Todorov ("Budget Sense", "we", "us", or "our"). Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the Budget Sense mobile application or website (the "Service"). By creating an account, accessing, or using Budget Sense, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Nature of the Service

Manual Data Entry: Budget Sense is a manual-input financial tracking tool. The Service relies entirely on information, figures, numbers, and categories entered directly by you.
No Direct Bank Connections: Budget Sense does not connect to, sync with, or access bank accounts, credit cards, investment accounts, or third-party financial institutions. The Service does not require or request online banking credentials, passwords, PINs, full credit or debit card numbers, or other financial authentication credentials. You should not enter such information into transaction names, notes, or other user-input fields.

2. Early Access

Budget Sense is currently offered in Early Access and is under active development. Features, functionality, design, and availability may change as the Service evolves.

We may introduce different subscription or pricing plans in the future. Some features available during Early Access, including features currently provided free of charge, may become part of a paid plan.

No purchase or paid subscription is currently required to participate in Early Access. If paid plans are introduced in the future, you will not be automatically enrolled in, upgraded to, or charged for a paid plan without your explicit agreement. Any applicable price, billing terms, and features included in a paid plan will be presented to you before you choose to subscribe.

If we introduce changes that materially affect your access to the Service or its features, we will provide reasonable notice where appropriate.

3. Financial Disclaimer (Not Financial Advice)

Informational Use Only: Budget Sense is designed solely for personal organization and tracking. The Service does not constitute financial, investment, accounting, tax, or legal advice.
User Responsibility: You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any numbers, calculations, budgets, or other information you enter or rely upon. Any financial decisions made based on data stored or calculated within Budget Sense are made at your own discretion.

4. User Accounts & Password Security

Account Registration: To access the Service, you must create an account using a valid email address and a secure password. You agree to provide accurate registration details.
Credential Safeguards: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for restricting unauthorized access to your account and devices. You should notify us if you become aware of unauthorized access to your account.
Accuracy & Your Records: Because Budget Sense relies on manual input, all charts, summaries, calculations, and reports are only as accurate as the information you provide. You are responsible for verifying important information and maintaining any records you consider necessary.
Privacy: Information about how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data is provided in our Privacy Policy.

5. Intellectual Property & User Content

Budget Sense Ownership: All rights, title, and interest in and to Budget Sense, including its software code, logo designs, user interfaces, branding, and graphics, remain the property of its developer and respective rights holders.
Your Content: You retain your rights to the content and data you enter into the Service, including transactions, categories, budgets, notes, and other information you provide. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your content to Budget Sense.
Use of Your Content: You grant us permission to process, store, display, and otherwise use your content only as necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and operate the Service and its features.
Restrictions: You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise exploit any part of the Service except where permitted by applicable law or with prior written authorization.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable law.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, compromise user accounts, bypass security measures, interfere with the operation of the Service, or tamper with system integrity.
Use the Service in a way that intentionally disrupts, damages, overloads, or abuses the Service or its infrastructure.
Rent, lease, sublicense, or commercially resell access to the Service without prior written authorization.

7. Availability & Limitation of Liability

Service Availability: Budget Sense is currently in Early Access. We may modify, temporarily suspend, or discontinue features as the Service develops. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
"As-Is" Provision: To the extent permitted by applicable law, Budget Sense is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties regarding its availability, accuracy, reliability, or suitability for a particular purpose.
Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Budget Sense and its developer are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service, including losses resulting from reliance on user-entered financial information, calculations, or temporary Service unavailability.
Statutory Rights: Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

8. Account Termination & Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or where suspension or termination is reasonably necessary to protect the security or integrity of Budget Sense. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice before taking such action.

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account within the app settings. Information about how personal data is handled following account deletion is provided in our Privacy Policy.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria. If you are a consumer residing in another country, you also retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection rights available to you under applicable law.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Where changes materially affect your rights or obligations, we will provide appropriate notice through the Service or by email.
